Types of Interview
Interview involves many steps and it also depends on the nature of the job or the portfolio of the job. For example interview process for an army exam will entirely be different from that of software professional. But there are common principles followed in all the interviews. They are as follows.
Screening test is something which is done initially to choose the right candidate who is eligible to attend an interview. The screening test is mostly conducted by setting constraints to attend an interview. For example they set a parameter in percentage scored, physical fitness and also few other criteria’s with respect to good conduct and they will only let people who satisfy all these criteria’s to attend an interview. Aptitude test is the second type of an interview in which the screened candidates should clear a written test in order to proceed for the next round of an interview. It determines the skill and knowledge of the candidate. The aptitude tests are always considered to be the toughest part of an interview. Group discussion is the third and most important part in an interview process where the employer‘s look out for the compatibility of a candidate to see how well he/she accustom to new conditions and with new people. Personal interview is the last round of an interview where the employer will test the mindset and attitude and temperament of the candidate. It is the final part in which the candidate should be appropriate and project himself well. Thus various types of interview are explained briefly. |
