Although some people might look down upon a baseball themed wedding, this might be just the thing if you and your husband or bride-to-be are die hard baseball fans. There’s no need to worry about what other people think it it would make you happy. If you have a specific team that you love, the venue could be plastered with posters and other things that commemorate your team of choice. If it possible, the venue should be a replica of a baseball stadium, with bases, a pitcher’s mound, and two dugouts. The actual ceremony between bride and groom would take place at home plate, with the minister standing directly on the spot where the umpire would usually stand. The bride and groom would both be clad in baseball gear, and the names on the back of the jerseys would both be the future last name of the couple, thereby symbolizing their loving union. The invitees would be asked to come dressed in baseball uniform, and at the very least to come wearing a jersey with a famous player’s name on the back. The invitations for a baseball themed wedding should, of course, be baseball themed. If you are feeling very creative, you could have the name of a different baseball player plastered across the back of the wedding invitation and write in the card the the recipient would have to dress up as that player. The wedding invitations should also be sent out at least 2 months in advance to give the recipients proper tire to purchase the correct apparel.
