Interpersonal communication is defined as the type of communication that happens between two people who are known to each other for quite some time. There are also theory’s which says that there is definitely a difference in the way we talk to a sales person from our family members and friends. Interpersonal communication takes place for four main reasons.
Gaining knowledge or information is one of the main reasons for interpersonal communication. When couple of people who know for years communicate with each other who have mutual understanding will be willing to share or to inform the proceedings of his/her life. This is also a kind of interpersonal communication. Interpersonal Needs is the need for anyone who lives in the earth. This kind of interpersonal communication basically starts out of affection. If a person is so very affectionate towards another individual though they are not related to each other through family still an interpersonal communication occurs when there is a conversation. Social development can be achieved by this kind of communication. Because interpersonal communication does not start with Family and friends alone and when there is a social gathering this kind of communication helps to develop a society as most of the like minded will also be there so in a way this kind of interpersonal communication helps in the social development and improvement of the society.
